London Marathon Packing List

pre race

set your video tape recorder
arrange precise meeting point near finish to find your family and friends
(if nice day: in St.-James-Park)
have everything ready the evening before, don't leave the packing to last minute

on race
apply plaster on nipples (leucoplast)
race number, safety pins
personal time schedule 
stopp watch, heart rate monitor
singlet, t-shirt, long/short sleeve
shorts/tights
running socks (not new)
(well-tried) trainers, with Chip affixed
sticker with your name, wear at the front (look out for at the arena)
hanky
Energy Gel or similar nutrition (e.g. dried fruit)

at the finish (in your official kitbag)
solid bottle with favourite drink
(you won't get down any more Vittel by now)
food as you like
(you may taste the cheese sandwiches from the goodie bag, just try)
Aspirin/Ibuprofen
mobile phone (switched off !)
camera
spending money (there are pubs nearby)
towel
cap
t-shirt
fleece pullover/jacket
rain coat
underwear
long trousers
socks
on rainy day extra dry shoes could be welcome
 
don't overload your kitbag, close it carefully,
The bags will be observed all time and given back only according to race number,
however the organizers can't guarantee their safeness
